The team at Woodlands Care Home have been busy making sure our residents’ first month has been a truly wonderful experience. Residents have been busy enjoying an array of activities and excursions. From mug painting to exploring the local area and enjoying afternoon tea in the café bar, residents have had lots of fun meeting and forming new friendships with staff and fellow residents.

Residents have also been making use of our shiny new facilities including exploring our landscaped gardens, hosting a black and white film afternoon in the cinema room and enjoying a visit to our salon for a hair refresh.

Our Events & Well-being Coordinator, Helen, has thoroughly enjoyed organising engaging activities that aim to cater to a range of interests and abilities including chair yoga and plenty of puzzle solving. This is just the start of the wonderful well-being programmes that will be available each week for residents to participate in if they wish to.

The Head Chef at our care home in Aberdeen has been working hard over the past month impressing our residents with his cooking and baking skills. Delicious meals have been prepared by our chef as per residents' request. We take pride in being able to cater to each resident's preferences, having so many food options for them to choose from.

Not only has there been much to do inside the home, but some residents have been out exploring the local area and recently visited Hazelhead Park where the seasonal changes have begun. We look forward to taking residents out on group trips to the local pubs, cafes and attractions that Aberdeen has to offer.

We look forward to welcoming more residents very soon and have lots of fun things planned over the next few months. To find out more about the care services we provide or the facilities we have available, please get in touch with a member of the team who will be delighted to provide their assistance.
